Frequently Asked Questions

What is the uniform deposit used for?

In late April or early May your player will be given a High Park uniform which includes a jersey, pants, belt and socks. The uniforms are on loan and can't be kept. Once the season ends you are required to wash, fold and return the uniform. The uniform deposit we're asking for is our security against the cost of the uniform and provides us with assurance that the uniform will be returned. We do not charge you for normal wear and tear or other damage caused by playing the sport. We expect some damage and stains to occur, that just means your player was having fun and trying thier best. We would only charge your credit card if the uniform isn't returned at all.

What is the volunteer commitment deposit used for?

When you register your player to play softball with High Park, we ask that you volunteer your time at a selection of events. Volunteering at these events helps us run the program and drastically reduces your registration fees. We take great pride in the events we run and we need to be sure the volunteers that are scheduled to help run the event will show up. The volunteer commitment deposit we're asking for is our security against the cost of having to staff the event with an employee and provides us with assurance that the you will show up for your volunteer shift. We would only charge your credit card if you fail to complete your volunteer commitment.

We don't live in the High Park community. Can my child still play for High Park?

You don't have to live in High Park to play for High Park. Especially if your player is turning at least 13 years old during the season. If your player is turning 12 during the season or younger than there is a requirement that your address be within the CITY OF EDMONTON.
